Mechanic keeps motorcycle away from 20-year-old owner for 4 months, refuses to send photos: 'Just because I'm apologetic doesn't mean I'm going to get bossed around'

When your car is in the shop, how long is too long for the mechanic to take to fix your issues? 

If your vehicle is in the shop, it can mess up your whole day (or week). Most of us need that car or motorcycle to get around. We can't do our shopping, go to work, take the kids to daycare, or do other chores without our transportation. 

This woman has been without her bike not for a day, week, or month, but a full four months! I can't even imagine how inconvenient this must be for her as she waits and waits for the bike to be returned! She paid $300 for the bike to get some new wheels and a fresh battery… and then she waited.. and waited… and waited. And now a full four months have gone by, and the mechanic is being very sketchy about her vehicle.

    Mechanic has had my motorcycle for FOUR months and it's still not finished (F20) So in early November | brought my bike to this mechanic my BIL recommended me. I knew it needed new tires and a new battery, I paid him $300 upfront

    trailer and called him to tell him I'm on the way and he told me I can't come get my bike today because the tires aren't on and theres loose bolts and he wants to get it finished. I'm going to try and pick it up tomorrow and if he refuses again I'm going to call the police.

    Sammi1224 Just reading the texts I feel that either he sold your bike or he is out cruising on it on a daily. You gave him plenty of time, there is no more grace. That was smart of you to ask for pictures....and he still couldn't produce. He was such a with his responses.

    A lot of people think the bike is totally gone, has been used for parts, or is badly damaged

    Specialist-Box-9... New tires and a battery is a 4 hour job at a busy dealership. Your bike is either gone or they wrecked it and are stalling to try to get it fixed without you knowing.

    It doesn't bode well for this person… I hope if they get law enforcement involved, that the mechanic will magically find the bike somewhere. She also has a bunch of texts to back up her claims. I think a lot of people will be waiting on this biker's update.
